So I just realized it has been long over a month since I posted last. Life has been crazy busy so where do I begin. THIS IS GOING TO BE LLLLOOOONNNNNGGGGG. I will have to post pictures later for some reason I can't get them to load.
On April 18Th which was part of our Spring Break we decided to go camping for a night. I had called the State Parks Hotline and talked to someone who said that Deer Creek was open for camping, GREAT!. So we loaded up and off we went. The kids could hardly wait until we got there. When we arrived we checked in a the Camp Host who said oh, we don't open until May 1st. I didn't know what to think, but the Camp Host said, I will call up to Jordanell and see if they have any spots. They did, so that was great, we didn't fill the water tanks when we left home because we would have full hook ups at Deer Creek, but Jordanell said they has some problems with their water (pipes were frozen). So we filled up and off we went, oh they also told us they would save us a spot and they had just pushed snow off the camp ground that day. We arrived and found we are the only campers in the entire place that I think has 200 camp spots. There was snow on most all the camp ground but a few places and the lake was completely frozen. So we made camp and had a great time. It was still a really nice day we went for a walk, cooked dinner inside the camper (first time) we watched a couple of movies, played games and had a great time. Kale wasn't to sure about the camper and the sleeping arrangements. It was kind of a rough night but by morning he made the Kitchen table is perch. He sat on the table and watched Cade and Kendrick play baseball in the parking lot and ate the pieces to the Matching Game, (I didn't know he had eaten most of the card until the next camping trip). It was a fun trip, one for the memory book.
So then May 1st Kendrick had a Home Work assignment he had to create a habitat for an animal of his choosing. He chose a Cow. He had thought long and hard about what his habitat should have and look like. He put together the ideas, some scrapbook paper, toys, and even ideas from Dad and made a great Cow Habitat. He was so excited to take it to school and knew his would be the best.
Lets just move into the Week of May 18Th. What an adventure! Kale got sick on the May 18Th, Sunday started throwing up, fever, diarrhea, you name it he had it. Monday he continued to be sick, I was in charge of Enrichment on Tuesday and had plenty of running around to do but not with a sick baby. So I called for help. Not really like me but I just couldn't do it. So with the help of the Relief Society President and my good friend I was able to pull off the day. I thought that with a full day of rest Kale would be much better by Tuesday which was Enrichment. It was a Women's Conference with classes on Organization, Family Activities, Tasters Table and a getting to know you display from each sister in the ward. Well we pulled it off not without a ton of help from my committee but Kale as sick the entire time. So then came Wednesday I had a Tupperware Party to do and still had a sick baby. Cade was trying to help the neighbor lady who is a window with her sprinklers and sod project, and get the black trailer ready for Chelsey and Jesse to start moving, Kale hung in there through all of that still sick. So now it's Thursday and we are going to Moab for the weekend. Kale is still throwing up and diarrhea, I called the Doctor and said is this bug really lasting a week, What can I do? Well they told me I needed to bring him in. I asked how soon I could get him in because we are trying to leave town, they said can you be here in 5minutes? Sure, I got there in 3. He had an ear infection, gave us some meds for that and for throwing up and a shot and off we went. The Dr. told me not to fill the prescription until the next day because he would just throw them up anyway, so we where off for Moab. We went to Price Thursday night and planned to stay in the Walmart Parking Lot, that is if there was a Walmart there. We went to McDonalds to eat dinner and before we could order Kale and covered Me, Cade, himself and the floor in vomit. It was and event. Cade asked some teenage boys who looked on and found there is a Walmart in town, GREAT! The kids said so how is fatherhood? I am thinking about it real soon. Cade just laughed and said, some days are just like this. Anyway we had a great night at Walmart and decided to go back to McDonalds for breakfast. We got in the door and same thing happened, we were covered again. So needless to say by the time we got to Moab we had a load of laundry ready to go in. Kale finally got better by Sunday he was his busy self and we really did have a great trip. The kids love to play with their cousins. That is all they could talk about. My Cousins this and My Cousins that. It was fun. Always good food, good company, and good conversation.
May 30Th was Kendricks last day of school, I have pictures to show just how happy he was. He had a great year and learned so much for great teachers. He loved the teachers aid Mrs. Edwards, they have already planned trips to the P.G. Pool together, she was crying on the last day of school because she was going to miss him so much. She is so nice, I think we could be great friends.
We have spent lots of days in the yard playing in the dirt. Kale loves dirt, he much think it tastes good. I just keep letting him eat it. Maybe that is why he was so sick? Third Child for sure!
Kendrick has been busy riding bikes and scooter. The other day he came in and said I can't find my scooter anywhere I gave him the lecture about taking care of your thinks, just thinking he had left it at one of his friends. Well he still couldn't find it 3 days later, I even went looking. So we decided we would go for a family walk around the block I kept my eyes wide open to see if I could see it anywhere sure enough I saw this 14year old boy riding down the road on it. Cade just said Hey! Really loud, this kids was one of his deacons, it kind of scared the kid and then he said, I think that is my boys scooter you are on. The kid didn't know what to say, but said oh, I found it in my front yard. Kendrick was shocked that someone would really steel his scooter. It was a good lesson for him in taking care of his things, and even since then at night everything is back behind the house.
Makenna has spent lots of days in her room playing, she loves to play by herself or with her friends Shaylee, Savannah, or Paige. She loves to cut string into 10million pieces, it keeps her busy but sure makes a mess. She is such a good girl
Kale loves to eat! That kids will sit at the Kitchen counter all day long and eat. He can down a hotdog in just about a minute, he loves pasta, sting cheese. He has found the sand box, when I can't find him I can just look down in the sand and there he is playing so cute.
So this is our crazy life. Cade has been working in the neighborhood lots, he has helps with a ton of Secondary Water Systems, he is now the Ward Mission Leader, and so he stays busy.
I have been busy selling Tupperware. So far it has been good. I also stay busy trying to keep the house somewhat clean, play with the kids and seems like tend lots of other kids in the process. But that is just what life is all about and its worth every little bit of it. I love being home with the kids and wouldn't trade it for anything.
